Violence against women and girls
Brief Description

In Thailand’s southern border provinces, capacity development programmes have been implemented to provide women, children, and community members with knowledge of rights and laws related to sexual offences and violence against women. These initiatives aimed to improve understanding of legal protections and available support services, while strengthening referral mechanisms for survivors. The programmes also promoted collaboration among women’s networks, community leaders, and relevant stakeholders to enhance prevention and response to violence at the local level.
